Exercises to warm up your “designer tiger”

Two coincidences

Take an explanatory dictionary and randomly select two random concepts from different pages. Compare them, try to find something in common. Come up with a story to put the relationship into.

Crazy geneticist

On a blank sheet of paper, draw something that combines as many features of all the animals you know. You will have, for example, a dog with a fish tail or a prickly hare with hooves. The goal is to kill any rudiments of logic and common sense, with an emphasis on creativity.

Crazy architect

First write any 10 words. Imagine that you, as an architect, have been commissioned to design a house. And the customer has marked 10 mandatory requirements. These are the chosen words. For example, “orange” – and the roof of your house should be orange, “plate” – make round windows in the bathroom, etc. When drawing, at the same time imagine what it might look like in reality.

5 + 5

Choose any word (noun). Now write the 5 adjectives that suit him best. For example, “socks” – black, warm, wool, winter, clean. Then try to write 5 more adjectives that do not fit. And this is another task!

Every time you are interested in an item, try to come up with a name for it. It is possible short or long and expanded. The goal is to choose a name that you will be delighted with
