Spread the Love and You could Win!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, .MGX is giving away a Lotus.MGX lamp and Krizant.MGX necklaces. Simply send us a photo of your favorite kiss and you will automatically be entered to win.

Everyday, .MGX will randomly select one entrant to receive a Krizant.MGX necklace, and at the end of the contest, one photo will be chosen as the winner of the grand prize: a Lotus.MGX lamp!

Plus! Your photo will be exhibited in the .MGX Flagship Store in Brussels as part of our special Valentine’s display.

Submission: Simply email us a photo you’re in or you’ve taken showing your favorite kiss. The grand prize will be awarded to the entrant with the most original and creative photo. Deadline

& Prizes: Everyday, from Jan. 26 to Feb. 10, one entrant will randomly be awarded a Krizant.MGX necklace (retail value 30€, incl. TVA). And all photos received by 14:00, February 10, 2012, will be judged, with one grand prize awarded by February 13, 2012. The grand prize consists of a Lotus.MGX low table lamp (small) in bordeaux color (retail value 299€, incl. TVA).

Requirements: Images should be in JPEG format and 1500 pixels or greater in size.

Display: You can follow the contest and winners on the .MGX Flagship Store Facebook page. At the end of the contest, photo entries will also appear on the .MGX website (www.mgxbymaterialise.com) and beginning Feb 1st, be displayed in the .MGX Flagship Store in Brussels as part of the special Valentine’s display - rue Joseph Stevensstraat 31, 1000 Brussels, Belgium.

By entering, participants grant .MGX by Materialise the right to use their photos for commercial and communication purposes. Entrants are responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of their photographs, any and all releases and consents necessary to display and otherwise use their submitted photos. .MGX reserves the right to remove from the contest any images deemed to be objectionable or inappropriate. Entrants agree that their email addresses may be added to the .MGX newsletter distribution list. No prize substitution is permitted.

Cadence.MGX Wins 2011 Good Design Award

.MGX is thrilled to announce that the Cadence.MGX pendant lamp by One & Co. has won a 2011 Good Design Award. This marks the fourth time in as many years that .MGX has been acknowledged by Good Design for outstanding product development. In 2008, it was for both the One_Shot.MGX stool and the Sequence.MGX fruit bowl, and in 2010, the Bloom lamp received the coveted prize.

By transitioning from a rigid pattern to a flexible surface, the Cadence.MGX brings to life an idea once thought impossible to produce in a single material, and showcases the incredible possibilities of 3D printing.

Founded in 1950 by architects Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann, Jr., Good Design bestows international recognition upon designers and manufacturers for advancing new, visionary, and innovative product concepts, and for stretching the envelope beyond what is considered basic product and consumer design.

The Good Design Awards are conferred annually by The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design together with the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

Once again, .MGX Christmas decorations are back for the holiday season. In addition to the Quin.MGX and Flame.MGX, this year we're offering two new holiday themed designs. And from November 24 until December 31, for every .MGX Christmas decoration sold at the .MGX Flagship Store in Brussels, .MGX will donate 2€ to the Foundation Hubi & Vinciane, which helps to provide healthcare and education to the people of Benin. We invite you to join us in support of this worthy cause.

Elvis Pompilio and the Spirograph.MGX

.MGX is pleased to announce a new collaboration with Belgian hat designer Elvis Pompilio. The Spirograph.MGX marks the start of a long term collaboration in which Pompilio will design a series of hats and accessories via 3D printing.

Pompilio, who has already collaborated with Chanel, Dior, Valentino and Hugo Boss, includes celebrities such as Madonna, Harrison Ford and Sharon Stone among his clientele. Over the years, he has been consistently praised for his work in the Belgian and international media and his creations are part of several permanent collections, including those at the Musée Grévin and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.

The Spirograph.MGX, designed by Elvis Pompilio with Igor Knezevic, is available from the .MGX Flagship Store in Brussels.
